TURN YOUR TWIN BREASTFEEDING FEARS INTO TOTAL CONFIDENCE

End the overwhelming worry and intimidation around breastfeeding your twins by learning what to expect, from birth to becoming a twin breastfeeding pro.

Having twins is a game changer

Have you always dreamt of breastfeeding your baby? Are you worried how it's still possible with twins?

Does the idea of breastfeeding twins feel bigger than expected?

Do you feel like you don’t even know where to start and can't find the resources you need?

That was me too.

Breastfeeding was important to me and I didn’t know if it was even possible to breastfeed twins!

But, I’ve made it to the other side and now I know it’s MORE THAN POSSIBLE. I developed this course to support twin moms, just like you, with all the things I wish I had to help me on the journey!

INTRODUCING THE TWIN BREASTFEEDING ACADEMY

Taking a breastfeeding class before having your baby(ies) is PROVEN to increase the chance of meeting your feeding goals.

This course is designed to help expecting twin moms prepare to breastfeed their twins in any scenario. It goes beyond the basics of breastfeeding twins by literally walking you step by step through the entire process from birth to becoming a twin breastfeeding pro. You’ll gain confidence, learn what you need to do to prepare, understand milk supply and how to produce enough for your twins, and all the practical information and tools you could possibly need to successfully breastfeed your twins.

  • Learn from the comfort of your house at your own pace
  • Step by step of the basics of breastfeeding
  • The concepts behind milk supply
  • How to breastfeed one baby at a time (latch, positioning, etc.)
  • Understanding the different scenarios you may experience with twins (NICU, one baby in NICU, one home, etc.)
  • Step-by-step guide on how to tandem feed twins
  • Foundations of baby sleep and schedules
  • Loads of PUMPING INFORMATION because PUMPING IS BREASTFEEDING TOO!

There isn't much reliable twin breastfeeding information out there

...and what is out there isn’t all in one place, nor is it realistic.

You may think you can just google your way through the situation. I did too. You can spend loads of your precious time searching for answers online on how to breastfeed twins, what you need, and what to prepare for, but chances are you’ll end up overloaded with information and still lacking the applicable and realistic tools that will actually help!

You’ll be stuck piecing together the free resources that give you one or two things that could be helpful, searching for sample schedules, how-to videos and information on pumping (remember that’s breastfeeding too!)... and the next thing you know, your twins will be here!

Going into the situation blindly and “figuring it out on your own” could be a recipe for disaster! If you already feel overwhelmed, scared, or excited, imagine how this will change when those twins arrive. Most new parents of twins get overwhelmed and will give up (and many women feel guilt after this).

  • What if you could access ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW about breastfeeding your twins in one place?
  • What if you had easy to follow videos that actually made sense?
  • What if you had the inside scoop on products you need to make it easier?
  • What if you had a downloadable guide, schedules, tools, and pro-tips that you can use and reference whenever you need them? And imagine all of this was from a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has been there and done it with twins of her own… and is a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Even if you’ve breastfed other kids (me!), twins are a completely different story!

I had no idea what I was doing and I scoured the internet looking for answers. I didn’t find them.

After I went through the experience with my own twins, I became a CLC and IBCLC to make this course and to support moms just like you, so others wouldn’t have to struggle through searching (unsuccessfully) for answers like I did.

I’ve researched and worked with many twin moms that went through the breastfeeding journey and have encountered just about every scenario you can imagine.

I compiled my own struggles with the struggles of thousands of other twin moms to methodically build this course. It will arm you with the knowledge and confidence you need to be successful.

The truth is, breastfeeding twins is not like breastfeeding a singleton (one baby).

It just isn’t. It can be a logistical nightmare and this course will walk you through it, step by step, in the ways that will work for you.

Throughout this course and on this journey, I am with you. Through all the potential hiccups you may encounter, you’ll have solutions at your fingertips from A REAL MOM OF TWINS AND A LACTATION CONSULTANT.

You can feel confident breastfeeding twins in any situation

If you’ve always envisioned breastfeeding your baby but you’re now pregnant with twins, you may not think it’s possible. You may be concerned if you'll have enough milk, unsure where to start, or feel overwhelmed (I know I definitely had those same feelings). There are a lot more obstacles to juggle with twins and yes, it will be a very different experience than breastfeeding just one baby.

You can make this dream a reality and prepare yourself ahead of time to breastfeed your twins.

No matter the situation, even if your twins go to the NICU, I will prepare you to get off to the best start with this breastfeeding experience. Nothing is simple when it comes to twins but this course takes you through everything you need to know about breastfeeding. We will walk through breastfeeding basics and then methodically apply it to twins. And as a twin parent, there are always hacks and strategies to make having twins more doable.

You will gain confidence, knowledge, skills, and the mindset that it IS possible and you will start to see your future of breastfeeding your beautiful babies.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE COURSE?

Twin Breastfeeding Academy is very strategically laid out and is made up of video modules with a guide for each lesson. All throughout the course, there are TONS OF DOWNLOADS to make life so much easier. It is everything I ever wanted when I was going through all of this.

Downloads include:
- A 100 page eBook/course guide with a bonus module about common breastfeeding issues and how to navigate through them.

- LOADS OF SAMPLE SCHEDULES: pumping schedules, NICU schedules, breastfeeding twins separately schedules, tandem feeding schedules, and many more. These are found throughout the course and coincide with each lesson.

- Checklists: breastfeeding item checklists, pumping checklists, pump piece replacement checklists, breastmilk storage guidelines, and much much more.

Course overview:
We start with the core principles of breastfeeding and what you can do while you're pregnant to prepare for breastfeeding your twins and everything you need to know to get off to the best start.

Then we go through breastfeeding basics: We have to learn how to breastfeed one baby before breastfeeding 2 babies! I teach you positioning, latch, and how to know if babies are getting enough at the breast.

Because almost every twin mom will have to pump for one reason or another, this course is very heavy in pumping content and teaching;  The how-to's, when's why's, hacks, and everything in between. There is no pumping stone left unturned!

I will walk you through different scenarios you may experience when you deliver your twins. I show you how to navigate breastfeeding in each of those situations.

One of the most common questions I get is: WILL I HAVE ENOUGH SUPPLY? I address this throughout the whole course. I give every tip possible to get off to the best start, to maintain, and to increase supply. And ultimately, many women will need to supplement and I go over the best ways to do this and the different options to still continue your breastfeeding relationship because BREASTFEEDING IS NOT ALL OR NOTHING!

Lastly, we end with tying together twin breastfeeding and sleeping (this was one of my biggest concerns!). These 2 things go hand in hand but are rarely talked about and for our own sanity, we need a plan!

BECKY BERNSTEIN, FNP-BC, IBCLC
Twin Breastfeeding Academy Course Creator

Hey there! I’m Becky Bernstein and I’m a Twin Breastfeeding Specialist, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and Lactation Consultant. I’ve got your babies and your boobs covered .

I have 4 kiddos (all from fertility treatments and my last 2 were twins, SURPRISE!). I knew I wanted to breastfeed my twins but I didn’t know if it was possible. I legitimately googled “Can you breastfeed twins?” I did tons and tons of research when I was pregnant (I’m the most laid back Type A person you’ll meet !) and found there is a definite lack of reliable twin breastfeeding information out there.

I don’t want other twin moms to have to deal with not being prepared or trying to sift through a bunch of information that may not even be helpful. So, I became a CLC, Certified Lactation Counselor, and IBCLC, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I’ve combined that professional knowledge with my personal experience and created the Twin Breastfeeding Academy to serve as an amazing resource for expecting twin parents.

Random facts about me: I’m a triathlete, wine connoisseur, and True Crime TV addict (probably the most bizarre combination of things but hey, that’s me!). I truly love helping people by sharing my knowledge and experience with other parents. Parenting is HARD. Twin parenting is another level. The good news is you don’t have to do it alone and I’m here for you to help you on your journey!

Frequently Asked Questions

No way, I definitely cover pumping in detail! The majority of twin moms will likely do a combination of pumping and nursing (especially in the beginning – which we go over!). And some twin moms decide to exclusively pump for their twins, which we also cover, if that’s what you decide is best.

Every baby and breastfeeding experience is different. Depending on the issues you had previously, the positive thing is that you are aware of these issues and can tackle them head on with the needed support. That is power in itself. Another positive thing is that you likely learned a lot from your previous breastfeeding experience and that is a huge advantage. Although some breastfeeding experiences can be traumatic, that doesn’t mean that your next experience will be. Taking this course can position you ahead of the game and you can be prepared for everything that’s to come. Knowledge is power!

Absolutely it’s possible. That’s not saying it’s going to be easy, Breastfeeding kids comes with a learning curve so it’s definitely time-consuming in the beginning but it gets easier. Having help in the beginning (spouse and/or family) is pretty crucial. Not only for helping with the twins but definitely for older children as well.

Also, your older children will learn to adjust around you breastfeeding and you’ll get a routine down. I’m not saying that doesn’t take time or trial and error but it is definitely possible.

I am always happy to answer questions! Just send me an email and we will discuss whatever questions you have. This course is meant to educate and empower twin moms and I am here to support you!

Yes most definitely milk supply is covered. That’s one of the biggest fears of expecting twin moms so we go over it in detail. This course covers how to get off to the best start for initiating a great milk supply for twins, how to maintain that supply, how to increase supply if necessary, and ultimately what to do if twins need to be supplemented.

Any expecting twin mom or new twin mom that is interested in breastfeeding their twins. Many times, when you find out you’re pregnant with twins, you may not even think it’s possible. Not only does this course show you that it’s possible, it shows you step by step how to make it a reality.

I would suggest taking this sometime in the 3rd trimester. If you take it before this time, then I would revisit it closer to your due date so the material is fresher and you are super prepared for your twins’ arrival. And you can also always refer back to the material once the twins are born.

Yes! The course definitely goes over different twin breastfeeding pillows and what the recommended one is. It also goes over other products such as bottles, nipples, pumps, etc.

You will have lifetime access! Usually this course is taken toward the end of pregnancy so you can prepare ahead of time and know what to expect, then you’ll be able to reference back to all of the video modules after the twins are born if you need a refresher.

Yes, this is self-paced. The great part is that you can take this course as fast or as slow as you’d like. It is a lot of content and it’s laid out in a way that you can go back to parts that you want a refresher on. In addition to the video modules, the course also comes with an eBook course guide that has all of the content’s “Cliff Notes”.

The time in which you finish it depends on the pace you take it! It could take a few days to a few weeks, but the average time is about 2 weeks.

We can talk about doing some twin coaching calls! In the future I am going to open up limited spots for this for even more support.

I guarantee that you will feel prepared going into having twins, that you'll be able to make a plan and breastfeed in many different situations, and you'll have a resource (ME!) to address personal questions (if applicable).

I cover all of the parts of twin breastfeeding in bite size chunks. Because it’s not a “one size fits all” type of situation, all of the different possibilities and outcomes need to be covered so you’ll know what to do when you are faced with it. Knowing how to handle situations beforehand is extremely valuable and that in itself can mitigate overwhelm. The course is laid outa in a way that’s easily digestible and when gone through in order, it makes sense.

Yes absolutely!! You’re speaking my language now LOL. I love seeing how things work in real life because otherwise, it’s just an idea and doesn’t make sense. Being able to apply everything to real life scenarios makes it possible to see what life is going to look like and gives a better understanding of everything. I give many many different twin schedules for all sorts of situations.

In the course guide eBook, common problems such as engorgement, clogged ducts, mastitis, cracked and bleeding nipples, milk blebs, thrush, weaning from a nipple shield, and high lipase are covered.

Because this is a prenatal course, there are unfortunately no guarantees. I do guarantee that you’ll be as prepared as humanly possible for your twins arrival. I’ll never say breastfeeding twins is easy and it’s impossible to be 100% ready because there is always a learning curve with breastfeeding, for both you and your babies.

If you don’t feel prepared for breastfeeding your twins after taking this class, please reach out to me, email me, and we will talk about it!

As for refunds, I understand there are always extenuating circumstances so if anything like that occurs, please reach out.

Absolutely! I will get you prepared to get off to the best start possible if your twins are going to the NICU. We cover how to get your milk supply started, pumping, NICU pumping schedules, navigating the NICU, and getting the twins to the breast and the steps to get there in the NICU.
